2024 250/300 XCW & TE Bikes Have More Bottom and Midrange Power Than XC/TX Models.
Do the 250/300 XCW & TE bikes have more power than their racing XC & TX counterparts? When it comes to bottom end and mid-range power, the answer is yes. The reason has to do with the port timing. While the heights of the cylinders are the same, on the 2024 250/300, the transfer port timing is lower, and the exhaust port timing is also lower.....which favors bottom end to mid range. Wiring the ground strap properly on your KTM / Husky bike is important. The battery grounds to the frame, great! The problem is the spark and the ground flowing through the frame. There is not good metal to metal contact along certain points in the frame, and the engine is currently grounded to the frame.
