Fix the ignition timing
We add timing starting at 2200 RPM. We taper it off up to maximum torque. The we retard it a bit until redline. This make the bike much more responsive and also pull harder up to 6000 rpm. The backing of timing from 7500 - 10, 000 rpm, helps with power on top. This is one reason why the ECU reprogram is so much better than just a fuel adding device.

Change the Intake Air Pressure (IAP) parameters
It clearly states in the service manual, that the IAP is one of the main inputs the ECU uses at lower rpm's, to determine fuel needs. This is something we have access to inside the ECU tables. A nice performance gain was found here.

We optimize fueling
A 13:1 AFR is what we design for, with or without the 02 sensor being used. If using the 02 sensor, it strives to keep the bike at 13:1 instead of 14.7 :1.

Especially noticeable in the upper range, where the stock bike would just kind of fall on its face. Now it will rev out, and continue to provide power. "The remap of my ECU for a KLX 300 was just as advertised. It added hp/torque right where I needed it. The 4k-7k rpm is where I normally operate at, and yes the increase is real. I was running a 13/46 sprocket combo prior, but went back to the OEM 14/40 after the reflash and actually have more torque now. Not a wheelie monster, but I can snap up the front easily. The real bonus was that I maintained my 75 mpg, which surprised me. The only thing I have noticed that I did not expect was that my head pipe blued significantly, but it might of blued with no changes in time. Even though this is a small bike, the reflash was an amazing change. Well worth the $
